Avoid Botox or fillers in the treatment area
Pause use of retinol, vitamin C, acids, and exfoliating products
No laser treatments, peels, or aggressive skincare
24 Hours Before
No alcohol
Avoid blood-thinning medications (if medically appropriate)
Limit caffeine intake
Day of Appointment
Skin should be calm, healthy, and free of irritation, breakouts, or sun exposure to the area we are working on
Eat beforehand and stay well hydrated
Additional Considerations
Accutane: must be discontinued for at least 12 months prior

Your healing is just as important as your appointment. Follow these guidelines closely for soft, even, long-lasting results.
Immediately After Your Appointment
Your brows will appear darker, bolder, and more defined - this is temporary
Mild redness and tenderness is normal and will subside within 24–48 hours
You may experience slight fluid or lymph- this is part of the healing process
First 24 Hours
Gently blot your brows every 1–2 hours with a clean, dry cotton pad to remove excess fluid
Keep the area clean and dry
Your healing is just as important as your appointment. Follow these simple instructions for the best healed results.
Day 1
- No cleanser, water, makeup, or skincare on your brows.
- Keep brows completely dry.
- In the evening, apply a very thin layer of ointment before bed.
Days 2–10
- Apply a very thin layer of ointment morning and night.
- Do not pick, scratch, rub, or touch your brows.
- Keep makeup, skincare, oils, and cosmetics off the brow area.
Avoid for 10 Days
- Sweating, workouts, and heavy activity
- Swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs
- Excessive sun exposure and tanning
- Retinol, acids, Vitamin C, and exfoliating products
- Sleeping directly on your face
What to Expect
- Brows will appear darker and bolder at first.
- Mild redness, tenderness, and slight fluid release are normal.
- Light flaking and peeling may occur *do not pick.
- Brows will soften and lighten by approximately 30–50% as they heal.Final results are visible in 4–6 weeks.
Touch-Up Appointment
A perfecting appointment at 6–8 weeks is recommended to refine and complete your results.
Long-Term Maintenance
After your touch-up, most clients only need a color boost every 1–2 years to keep their brows looking fresh and beautiful. -
Soft, beautiful results come from proper healing. Follow these steps closely to protect your color and ensure the best outcome.
Immediately After Your Appointment
Lips will feel tender, swollen, and appear brighter or more saturated, this is completely normal
Your body will produce lymphatic fluid (clear/yellow) - this is part of healing
Day 1
Gently blot lips every 30–60 minutes for the first few hours using a clean, dry cotton pad
Allow lips to dry slightly, then apply a very thin layer of ointment (Aquaphor or recommended balm)
Reapply as needed to keep lips lightly hydrated but not overly saturated (like chapstick application)
Avoid:
Hot, spicy, salty, or acidic foods
Excessive touching or pressure
Day 2
Continue applying a thin layer of ointment throughout the day
Swelling should begin to subside
Days 3–4
Lips may feel dry, tight, and begin to flake
This is expected - do not pick, peel, or exfoliate
Keep lips consistently hydrated
Days 5–7
Flaking will finish and a softer, more natural tone will emerge
Continue to keep lips moisturized
During Healing (First 7–10 Days)
Avoid the following:
Kissing or friction on the lips
Makeup or cosmetics on the lips
Sweating, workouts, or heavy exercise
Steam, saunas, swimming, or hot environments
Direct sun exposure
Skincare + Treatments
Avoid vitamin C, retinol, acids, and exfoliating products around the mouth for 2 weeks before and after
Botox/fillers should be done 3 weeks before or after your appointment
Laser treatments should be scheduled 2 weeks before or after
What to Expect
Color will soften and fade about 30–50%
Lips may appear uneven during healing … this will correct as they settle
Final healed results appear around 4–6 weeks
Once Healed
You can return to your normal routine
Keep lips hydrated regularly
Use SPF on the lips to protect your color and extend longevity
Perfecting Appointment
A touch-up at 6–8 weeks is required to perfect your color and ensure long-lasting, even results

Immediately After Your Appointment
Mild swelling, redness, and sensitivity are normal and may last 24–72 hours.
The pigment will appear darker and more defined initially—this will soften as healing progresses.
First 7–10 Days (Healing Phase)
Keep the area clean and dry
Avoid getting the eye area wet for the first 24 hours.
After 24 hours, gently cleanse the area with clean water—no rubbing or scrubbing.
Avoid the following:
Lash extensions, strip lashes, or lash lifts
Mascara or eye makeup
Lash growth serums
Rubbing, scratching, or touching the eyes
Steam, saunas, hot yoga, or excessive sweating
Direct water pressure (showers hitting the face)
Sleeping face down
Do not pick or peel
Flaking or light scabbing is normal
Picking can cause pigment loss, uneven healing, or scarring
General Care During Healing
Keep the area clean and free from makeup and skincare products
Avoid oily or heavy creams near the eyes
Use a clean pillowcase and avoid contact with unclean surfaces
If needed, use a clean, damp cotton pad to gently blot—never wipe
What to Expect
Color will fade by 30–50% during healing
The liner may appear uneven or patchy before fully settling
Final results are visible after 4–6 weeks
After Healing (Long-Term Care)
You may resume normal skincare and makeup once fully healed
Avoid prolonged sun exposure and use SPF to preserve pigment
Annual touch-ups are recommended to maintain color and shape
When to Contact Your Artist
Please reach out if you experience:Excessive swelling beyond 72 hours
Signs of infection (increased redness, warmth, pus)
Unusual discomfort or delayed healing
